The Limits of Psychic Sight and the Power of Sacred Agreements

Beads of sweat dripped from my forehead, running down the bridge of my nose before wobbling at the tip and falling to the ground. It was August 20th, 2024. I had just finished an intense back workout at the gym. Ten minutes earlier my girlfriend at the time had left for work, while I stayed behind to stretch and work abs.
Lost in thought, I suddenly heard a thunderous succession of sounds. At first, I assumed it was someone dropping heavy weights, a common gym noise. But within seconds, the hair on the back of my neck rose as I recognized the truth. Gunshots.
I had been trained in the Marines and in the police academy to respond to active shooters, but always with a weapon in hand. This time, I was unarmed. I was powerless to stop the rampage. Dropping to a knee, I scanned the room. Some people bolted for their lives, while others froze in terror. I shouted to snap them out of their paralysis and urged them to run. Moving cautiously from group to group, I took cover behind cement pillars, a five-pound weight gripped in my hand, the only weapon I had.
As I edged closer to the source of the gunfire, I came upon a man lying on the floor, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. Two people were already at his side, desperately trying to save him. They told me the shooter had fled. Together, we rotated through chest compressions, applying pressure to his wounds, doing everything humanly possible. As a Reiki practitioner, I called down Heaven’s light, channeling every ounce of energy I could, but the man’s spirit began to slip away. Minutes later, police and paramedics swept in. It was too late. His killer had vanished.
When I returned home, shock gave way to waves of grief. I collapsed in tears, overwhelmed by the weight of what had happened. Reaching out to my mentor, I received not only comfort and healing but also the reassurance that the victim had crossed peacefully into Spirit. That night, his soul visited me. In a dreamlike vision, I felt him watching over me, gratitude radiating through his presence.
But in the days that followed, another question haunted me. One my son had asked me many times about other experiences: “Dad, you’re psychic. Why didn’t you know this was going to happen?”
It’s a common misconception that psychics foresee every tragedy or life event before it strikes. I began to question myself. Why didn’t I sense the danger as I passed the shooter earlier that day? Why didn’t I have a premonition? Why couldn’t Reiki stop death itself?
Eventually, clarity came. This wasn’t about my failings as a psychic. It was about sacred contracts. I did not have the sacred contract to prevent this tragedy or to save that man’s life. The victim and the shooter had their own contract, written long before this lifetime. But I did have a sacred contract to be present in his final moments, to comfort him as he crossed over, just as the two other bystanders had. That was my role in his soul’s journey.
This experience deepened my understanding of soul agreements and sacred contracts. Soul agreements are often subtle interactions: chance meetings, gentle lessons, or fleeting connections. Sacred contracts are more profound: the relationships that alter the course of our lives, whether through love, mentorship, healing, or even shared tragedy.
Through my work in the Galactic Akashic Records, I’ve seen this again and again. Clients often tell me I uncover truths, or past life causes of their pain that no one else has touched. It isn’t because I’m more skilled than other psychics. It’s because I hold a sacred contract with that soul to reveal what they are ready to see. Other practitioners may have their own agreements with the same client, guiding them through different layers of healing.
Sometimes I must even step back, referring someone to another healer, because I recognize that while I may have the agreement to reveal, I may not carry the contract to heal.
That day at the gym taught me one of the most humbling lessons of my life: our psychic abilities do not override sacred contracts. We are not here to control fate, but to honor the roles we are meant to play in the vast web of soul connections.
If you’ve ever questioned why a healer, psychic, or even your own intuition didn’t “save” you from something painful, know this; it was not a failure. It may simply be that the experience was part of a deeper contract your soul agreed to before you came here.
And within that truth lies peace. Because while we cannot change every outcome, we can show up fully in the sacred contracts we are given offering love, presence, and light where it is most needed. Sometimes, that is the greatest gift of all.
